Here I am partway in the process of coating a mold with wax. Eventually, I will cast the shape in glass(See Glass pages 2 & 3).

About My Art

My current style is a reflection of my life's history learning art processes. A family influence starting at age 4 helped me to gain experience in oil painting, drawing, ceramics and printing. At age 14, I was introduced to welding steel. My passions for bicycling, surfing, skateboarding, and sking have allowed me to draw from universal laws of flowing with gravity. This is emphasized in my work. I like to have two or more contrasting contours in a sculpture to create a dramatic composition. With this I am challenged to yield to an abstract resolution in the work. This allows a more dramatic sense of presence and brings it to life!

"I feel that not only family, but also individual motion sports, helped me to form a sense of identity. This has emphasized my relation to figures in motion, and is reflected in my personal style."
